Usefull head set bearing removal tool
Glad I purchased this usefull but simple tool. Used to remove 1 1/8" headset bearings. External cup type. I m actually surprised how much I felt I would have struggled without it. If I didn t get this usefull but low cost tool, to add to my collection of bike tools. I was told and was considering that just using a chisle or screw driver would have got the job done. Only with injuring myself and causing damage to the fram maybe. Would have taken a lot more time. It took some heavy blows with my bigest ball pien hammer, to get the cups from the frame. Which was the surprise, to me. A bit of corrosion and dirt had got in. Which obviously made the cups sit firmer in the frame. After those heavy blows, the tool doesn t even look used. Excellent tool All these years have used drift and hammer and then tap all around headset to get it out With this push it up through bottom of headset legs ping out then push down to seat them and just couple taps on end of tool with lump hammer and headset race drops out. easy peasyVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Don't attempt fitting a new headset without one of these.
Makes light work of removing awkward cups. Easy to set up and use without support. Reduces damage to the headstock which is easy to do with a drift. Can't think of any bad points as this is such a useful bit of kit.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great bit of kit
Got this to remove an aluminium headset from an aluminium frame (using a large flat bladed screwdriver would have caused too much damage). I started off hitting it with a rubber mallet but the headset didn't budge. I ended up walloping it with a club hammer and the headset came out a treat.
