Fit these wheels for better running!
Well worth the cost to run better than plastic wheels of old. The sharper points are the great advantage, and a slimmer wheel for modern track. Some patience is required to fit, but the difference is evident when the wheels are spun. Quite easy to fit into the same place on carriage bogies, with a drop of model oil. The bogies are made usually with tough plastic which withstands the “juggling” the placing requires .I have fitted dozens at a time, with no breaks.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent replacements for the original plastic wheels
Fitted metal wheels to some very old Triang/Hornby carriages, that had been languishing in the sidings for ages. They now run like new. Good value
An excellent alternative for those older models still running with plastic-tyred wheels. I would advise using alongside top-hat styled bearings to ensure longer-lasting smooth-running qualities. Without them, the metal axle ends will eat through the plastic sideframes of any model and negate the benefits of fitting them in the first place. Picture shows old Triang tender rewheeled with this product.

A real good investment for old coaches.
I have recently bought some Triang pullman coaches - shows how old they are! These wheel sets have replaced worn and rusty ones and now the coaches run sweetly.However I think they should be in packs of 8 or 12 considering they are probably used in sets of 4.
