Get a nice thick tone when playing metal licks using these Ernie Ball 2221 Guitar Strings. Play high up on the frets for blues songs with these flexible strings. Easy to install, even for a beginner, they consistently produce bright sound in the studio or at a concert. These precision manufactured strings bend easily and are light enough to play comfortably for a while without hurting your fingers.
Although 'tens' these strings are very light and bendy in action, they are in fact a consideration over 'nines', which could be a little tinier in sound. These strings would play well on many guitars, including the Strat'. I am using them on a Jazz guitar and the Guitar is still maintaining a very good tone, and the best advantage is that string bending is very easy. No frustration of trying to bend '12's!
Am new too guitars.was tuning my les paul broke a string so ordered a set off gibson and ernie ball slinky as everyone raves about them so went to replace full set.with slinky gave a little stretch.started to tune and broke two.set up with gibson strings they were worse.so back to drawing board bought adigo much better lovely tone .
A better choice for me than the 10/46 strings, good quality, better sustain, tuning stability good.
Improved sound/sustain over usual 10/46 strings when fitted to all my guitars (Strat and Tele style kits, Les Paul copy.) These are now my standard strings, no issues with sore fingers due to increase in gauge. Tuning stability is excellent.
I usually use Ernie Ball or Rotosound strings. I have tried just about every other brand but always come back to these. I don't think there's a real quality difference, it's more that these play well for me, and sound the way I want.
