A reasonable saw at a reasonable price. However, I had to file down the edges as it looks like it has been pressed out of steel plate and the edges have a slight protrusion on one side, so it would mark the wood if you use that side facing down. Two minutes spent grinding the edges and all sorted. I can't say if it's better or worse than a more expensive one, but I don't flush cut many dowels so for the price I'm happy.

Replacement blades NOT available. .. Silverline should sort this out. Nice little saw with a better than average handle BUT the removable blade really ought to be available in 5x packs.

This is a very coarse saw. It would be great for crude work like sawing off tree branches but is hopeless for sawing off small dowels. I should have bought one with far more teeth per inch.
