This is an American Classic. Been around about a lot of years and I love it. My grand father (born 1898) used it, and I grew up with it. It’s ok hair tonic.
I bought this stuff because the price was right. It’s not bad. It has a very strong scent to it. If you sniff the bottle, it’s like sniffing an ammonia inhalant. However, it has an ok hold to it if you are using it with a blow dryer especially if you are using it as a thickening agent before applying a pomade. It is very watery and not remotely thick. It’s ok, not exactly great, but not bad either. It’s cheaper than Reuzel’s grooming tonic and you get a reasonable amount. It’s not a bad back up tonic to hold onto for in between buying better quality brands. I wouldn’t exactly call it my go-to tonic, but it’s alright for the price.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Clubman Pinaud hair tonic.
This product lets you manage your hair style without weighing it down with grease or oils, will not stain items like pillow cases or cotton items. I have not tested it on silk but I wouldn't try it. Even water can stain some silk blends so just use good judgement. The fragrance is not overpowering and is pleasant. It compliments the classic scent of the same brand of aftershave but does not smell exactly the same (I wish it did). A quality product that you come to expect from Clubman.
