Since getting my first flatscreen tv a couple of years back, the awesomeness of awesome HD telly and movies could never be fully enjoyed, because there’s only room on these TVs for built in speakers which are both tinny and can offer only limited quality of sound, a pale support act to the amazing picture quality. Since then, I have spent a small fortune on the so called solutions to this problem, mainly soundbars or wireless speaker systems...both hit and miss and not the easiest to link, despite many options, beit wireless, optical, cabled...unnecessarily complex and in most cases, not an improvement to brag about. So, after much research, I came across these Edifier bookshelf speakers, small enough to fit either side of the TV, but large and clearly well made enough to pack a punch. So now easily wired to my TV, the quality of sound I now get watching my favourite shows is excellent and easily as good as the HD visual side...the amplifier in the active Edifier speaker is more than powerful enough for both speakers, and the range of the speakers has made watching TV a better, more cinematic experience...the difference is unbelievable! More than once I’ve spent over £100 on soundbars and wireless speakers and have been disappointed at the slightly amplified, but still tinny results they offer. But these Edifier speakers has given our TV an audio output of HiFi quality...something no other product I’ve tried has come anywhere close. These were on sale, brand new on eBay for 59.99 including free 48 hour delivery, but were also open to offers...I made an offer of £52 which was immediately accepted. For people who’s flatscreen TVs are amazing apart from the tinny sound quality, these Edifier speakers are, in my opinion, the best solution on the market...and only £52...they’re awesome!!Read full review
