  • Probably the best 0.5mm propelling pencil out there!

I have several of these Uni Kuru Toga pencils, and I wouldn't use anything else now! The lead holder rotates a tiny amount each time you press down on the paper while you're writing. You can see this happening by watching the orange section just above the metal section- it has the logo printed in two places, and you can watch it rotate. This way, the writing edge of the lead is always sharp! They are solidly made, and come in a good choice of colours. It's easy to get hold of replacement 0.5mm leads, and I find that HB ones are a good compromise. You can load about 3 replacement leads by pulling off the button & the eraser, and dropping the replacements straight into the tube. There's not a lot more I can say about these pencils, other than that I really like them!

  • Even I can do neat writing with this!

I bought this mainly for crosswords because it's often hard to keep within the squares using a regular pencil. I've tried other mechanical pencils but the line tends to soften the more you write, and the tip tends to break off if you extend the lead too much, so I thought I'd give the Kuru Toga a try, since it's supposed to remain sharp. In that respect it does an excellent job.I can easily write on newspaper without ripping through to the magazine I use to lean on, the point remains sharp throughout, and the letters remain clear and well within the confines of the little boxes. I'd buy one of their more expensive metal ones but I prefer the look of the eraser cover/lead extender on this model (just a personal preference).

  • Perfect

Good quality mechanical pencil which never gets blunt. No more having to rotate the pencil in your hand to use the sharper part of the pencil lead! It feels comfortable to hold and grip too. They arrived quickly and in tact.

  • Good propelling pencil for the price.

Easy to write with. Had them before and lasted about 2 years of daily use and you get the leads.

tried writing on a newspaper the lead did not get a sharp edge as it was worn away as you wrote. BEST mechanical pencil i have ever had

  • Mechanical pencil

Its quite good. I use pencil more than a pen and it makes it easier for me as i dont have to keep rotating if im writing with speed. Not bad for the price. Feels a little cheap thought its too light. But does the job.

  • This propelling pencil is almost what I ...

This propelling pencil is almost what I have being searching for! I am especially fussy over the pencils I use. This is not quite narrow and light enough but I gave it to my gifted Grandaughter, for her final exam art work which is importantly very fine, and she loves it.
