What do you expect for under £5.00?
Draper stuff has always lasted for me so I don't have issues with this being plastic. I've tried it out and although it is flexible it doesn't flex during use. If I was an engineer I wouldn't buy it, but for the types of jobs I do in my man cave its perfect.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Draper metric / imperial vernier calipers
Fairly accurate calipers, however I did not realise when purchasing that they would be plastic construction. Fine for most measurements but if you're working with fine tolerances (i.e engine work) then you're going to want a more expensive, metal construction set of calipers. Pretty rubbish really
The plastic flexes a lot and the scale is off. They're arguably better than using a ruler and eyeballing it... but not by much.
