Solid pedal, makes the amp handy
Very well built and solid. Works well and lets you switch between channels or change tap tempo hands free. Haven't found the "preset" function very useful, but maybe its not compatible with my amp (mghfx15)as much as others. Reverb and other effects are only accessible by knob on the face, presets do not store those. So basically, change channels and tap tempo is all it does. Looks cool though. And has a tuner too. Time to put your foot down?
This footswitch works exactly as demoed in various music center videos on youtube. It's a bit pricey when compared to the price of the lower wattage Marshall MG amps it can plug into, and it is a bit redundant for the home/bedroom player. But if you have a larger Marshall MG amp and you play from garage/basement band on up, you'll enjoy having your hands free while you put your amp through its preset paces. You can use the factory presets or program your own (which is also true of the relevant MG series of amps that are compatible with this pedal). There is no separate manual for the pedal, perhaps because pp. 8-10 of the Marshall MGSeries manual for the 15-100w amps that use this pedal give you the complete details on how to use the pedal for your size MG amp. There are a couple MG Series manuals online--for the older gold-face series and the newer CF series, so make sure you get the right one. oh the things they do
Not like the old footswitches, just switching between channels and maybe turn reverb off and on. This thing is awesome! Get your amps settings just right and save it to a switch.
