Robust, good quality and effective. Purchased to replace the old (identical) pair lost by my husband which proved to be reliable and lasted nearly 30 years. Amazingly the old pair turned up later concealed in garden debris and it was only after using the new - sharp- pair that we realised how blunt the old ones had become. Although not cheap, as with everything in life, you get what you pay for. I have had a few pairs of secateurs over the years, cheap ones and more expensive ones but these are probably the best I have used. They are great quality and good value. I particularly like the spring action and comfortable feel of them in the hand. The spring is hidden inside the handles so there is no risk of it falling out and being lost which has happened to me many times.
