This is a cover up!
I bought this to cover the hinges as the original Bezel was broken. Getting an Original Dell 1545 Bezel was the obvious way forward - and it was worth every penny. Thanks! I followed this up by getting a new palm-rest and keyboard. Now my Dell Inspiron 1545 is indistinguishable from new. (and it all works) The rubber screw tops was the finishing touch and easy to apply.
