  • Great little saw - cuts through 12mm particle board

I'm a small woman with pretty much 0 DIY experience except one or two DT projects at school. Needed to cut out a deep curve for a bathroom sink pedestal into two planks of 12mm thick particle board that the cabinet was made of. I managed this kneeling on the plank with it supported by the toilet and a side table. Even with no clamps or proper work surface for leverage I just about managed and could do the deep curve without needing to hire a jigsaw, scroll saw etc (coping saw couldn't go dep enough and could probably break). Surprising clean edge left all things considered and the flexible end didn't snap off like I worried it might do. The two rows of serrated blade is a clever design that helps you get some 'bite' on the wood, makes the saw more durable and also helps you keep it straight. Only a slight tilt was necessary for getting around the curve but it's still pretty clean, especially considering it's not solid wood.

  • Pad saw

This pad saw was very cheap yet very good quality. Had all my tools nicked so had to gradually replace everything. This was one of the item I had before but, in Orange. Sturdy, good quality, blade doesn't bend under duress and the handle is nice and wide with a rubber coating for good grip. Value for money, quick post and recommended.
