Absolutely spill proof and easy to use
This is the best spill proof lid on the market, other than the older style Contigo lid. I like the older style better because this one tends to push a little bit of coffee out of the opening after I release the button to close the opening. It is marketed as easier to clean, but I had no problems cleaning the older version. But, I have not seen any other type of lid with the push button opening.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Easy to clean
Purchased this as a replacement for an older cap that didn't have the Easy-Clean feature. The ability to flip open the inside mechanism and clean the seals and springs is excellent and makes this much more usable than the previous design. High quality replacement, great product
I love these coffee cups, and own three (because I carry them with me and am forever leaving them someplace, like my bag). I ruined a lid on one by scrubbing it with a brush -- its mechanism fell apart and I lost the little pieces that make it work down the drain. This is a perfect OEM replacement. P.S. I have found that a gentle rub with a finger on the silicone lip and undersurface and a rinse under hot water is all that's needed to keep the lids clean-- the brush was overkill. You could also put the lids in the dishwasher, but I find they retain just a bit of soap smell and taste when I do this).Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Worth the price, and an extra when one breaks or just get old.

Great replacement lids - Wish there were more colors
So much easier to keep clean! I use cinnamon stick in my morning coffee and the old Contigo lids grew yucky black mold that was impossible to get rid of. These new lids mean we don't have to throw out the whole cup - just replace the lid. They open completely, so you can get a brush down into the works and really clean. the only problem is that now all our lids are the same color and we can't tell whose cup is whose!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A good cover for the mug West Loop, but fragile
I bought this lid because the old lid broke with a simple fall to the ground. It turned out that the ring inside that holds the valve mechanism attached to the body of the cover is all for 4-point plastic fastenings with a width of 1.5 mm.... The mug is wonderful, it's excellent to use the lid. But if you drop the mug, even if slightly, then just break the lid, without the possibility of repair. And after that, welcome to this store)) The fault is not the store, of course, but the manufacturer (Contigo).
