I purchased this item as I had a piece of rusty angle steel in my garden I wanted to clean up and paint. Fitted the Disc to my angle grinder and started to remove rust which it did but then after only less than five minutes I realised that it had stopped working. Switched off angle grinder and found that virtually the whole of the abrasive material had totally worn away only leaving the backing disc. Other rust removal wheels with the similar material I have used have lasted far longer proving this one was poor quality and a total waste of money.

Having looked at the product in various photos, I got the impression that the backing of this disc is full of holes like a sponge and therefore flexible (like a sponge). It is not! It is totally rigid and if you want something soft and bendy, then this isnt it!
