  • Perfect for 3-wire Tele neck pickups

I used this switch to set up 4-way wiring with a set of Fender Custom Shop Texas Specials for Tele. There are several wiring options searchable on the web and I choose to put positions 1-3 in the "normal" Tele configuration and position 4 as both pickups in series. It completely retains all the tone of the 3 normal positions and adds a really thick rock tone in position 4. That position is a bit dark clean but really comes into its own with a little drive behind it. Very much like a humbucker, which is essentially what it creates, especially with those hot Texas Specials - the DC resistance of position 4 with them is 18K Ohms! I have a Twisted Tele set which is also a three-wire neck and I plan to get another of these switches to do the same mod. I found the switch to be excellent quality.

  • Great switch at a great price!

I have bought several of these 3-way switches and they do the job perfectly --- If desired, you can also self-mod/adjust the tension and ease of changing the positions. Just take a small flat head driver and carefully adjust the pin wheel located just inside the switch chassis. With the driver, carefully pry it away from the switch wall. Don't pry on it too much or you will bypass the "click stop" positions (and I've done this a few times, too). If this happens, you can readjust it by carefully pressing the pin wheel back against the chassis until you find the right switching tension for your needs ---- I like mine pretty loose so I can change pup positions quickly. Spring loaded switches are a bit harder to adjust tension. This one is great for that and the price is equally great --------- highly recommended! -- Mark.

  • So much better than the cheap switches installed at the factory

This fits perfectly on an Ibanez. So much better than the original switch. Easy to wire and solder(so much more room). Have purchased several of these for different projects and every one has performed flawlessly.

  • Best switch for the money

These switches are not cheap, but they won't break the bank. I've used them quite a few times and am never disappointed. They are well constructed, and easy to work with. Standard 3-way and 5-way switches are roughly the same price as their Fender counterparts, while specialty switches, 4-way or 7-way do tend to have a mark-up. Still, they are more solid than those from the competition. I feel these 4-way switches are worth the extra money, and I now use them exclusively. It would take a much better design for the same price for me to switch. I'd rather wait a week for one of these than purchase a cheaper, inferior switch from the local music shop. I highly doubt these switches will disappoint.

  • Top Of The Line

This is the top of the line switch for your Telecaster. The craftsmanship is perfect. I used this switch to replace the old stock one in my Affinity Telecaster. Perfect fit and very easy to wire up to stock specs. I highly recommend this as an upgrade or a replacement.

  • Ditching a 4-way switch

It will take several more weeks for me to get this switch soldered in, but it is exactly what I need to return a Tele into a standard wiring configuration. Ditching a 4-way circuit that detracts, in my opinion, from the stock; neck only, both, or bridge only, position choices. Looks well-made and sturdy. A very reasonable price and shipping too!

  • Works well, easy to work with

Easy to understand, easy to solder. I used it to replace a 5-way switch in an old Ibanez, and this one is way more understandable and easy to work with.

  • Great switch

I like the OG switch. A little cheaper than the alternative and works just as good. Just know that for vintage depth routing on a telecaster the switch is a little tall and you have to bend the solder tabs a bit to clear

  • Vintage correct!

Again, something I needed for my Broadcaster build. These are reliable, well made and close to the original as you can get. Switches through the positions smoothly and stays put. That's what I like!

  • Great Switch

Oak Grigsby 3-Way switch works great in my custom made Telecaster type guitar. Have played many gigs with the guitar with my Tele. Switch works flawlessly. And I do switch pickup settings often gigging.
