Shears for Plastic Pipe
Much better than the 'standard' shears I had, which failed when the ratchet pawl arm folded in use. On these the ratchet is 2 fold, where one side pushes, and the other then takes over and pulls as you release pressure to work the ratchet, so works well one handed. The standard shears don't do this, and I used to have to pinch the blade down toward the anvil to allow for the next ratchet to engage. The blade was a little dull on arrival, but a light honing with a carbide sharpener has given a good edge which cuts cleanly. I did spray the mechanism with light oil, which has led to the 2nd ratchet mechanism slipping at one point on its traverse. Hopefully this will stop with time. Otherwise a good product which I hope will last much longer than its cheaper cousin.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
