Do easy to use.
We have an older cat (age 14) and she has been having constipation. We do several things, give her olive oil (she likes) and belly rubs (she loves) to stimulate the bowels. We only wet canned food. We have also been using GNC Pets petroleum free hairball formula with fiber (psyllium). If no BM in two days, we use the enema and it works immediately. Highly recommend. Perfect Solution to Cat Constipation
This worked wonderfully to get my old cat "going" again. She had not had a bowel movement for many days. I bought 2 of these, one as a backup in case the first one needed a booster. Very effective, but go slowly!
These work great, pure glycerin works well too. Cats have 2 sphincters so you have to go real slow, and keep plunging liquid a little as you remove from the cat so as not to create suction (pain!) for your cat. They may throw up if you go too fast (not dangerous just messy), and my 14 lb aby just needs 1/2 the syringe. My cat did not respond to it well
Used twice and my 19 year old threw up immediately after injection both times. Only used a half injection the second time. She deficated shortly after the first time and not sure if it worked the second. Tried to inject slowly but she got too unruly to get all of the dosage in.
