  • superb and flexible, light, robust easy to use

The pads have great response and the ability to use anything you can sample is brilliant. The samples have to be under 5mb and in WAV format (you can use Audacity to do it that's free). You can use a 32gb SD Card and that will obviously hold a lot of samples. All the controls are really good they have a good feel to them and it is a well made piece of equipment. The little screen is fine and you can see it ok; like all devices like this you need to get used to how it works but it is not complicated and it is reasonably quick. You can download the manual before you buy it to see how the samplepads work. You can buy a mounting pad (or make one) and I did but what I preferred was to get a vinyl kitchen chopping board just bigger than the Samplepad and bolt it to that. I trawled the Charity shops (the goodwill) for a bag that fits and will also take the small power supply unit that comes with it. And then clamp it into a Snare stand. I could have got a bigger one, one with more pads etc. but this seems to me an ideal size and really flexible addition to the kit.
