  • The BEST strings you will ever use!

I only have pros, no cons!!! I love Elixir strings!!! I've been using them for years!!! I first heard about them from a good friend of mine, Tom Hemby. He is a 30+ year session player and producer in Nashville Tennessee. I'm not a pro like him, just a weekend warrior, but honestly these strings have been a Godsend for me!!! I HATE to change strings!!! I'm using the word about strings!!! Anyway, I love the sound of NEW strings but hate to have to stop and change them all the time! My hands sweat profusely so I always have dead strings. Tom told me that if I started using Elixir strings that problem would no longer be an issue and he was right! I use the Extra Lights .010 -.047 Nanoweb set on my Blueridge BR-163 CE. One of the things I didn't realize was that the coating cuts down on the noise, the string squeak when I change chords or when I'm playing a lead. With un-coated strings it's very irritating! So, my strings are quieter, they last longer, they sound bright all the time!!! I'm diggin these strings! All I can say is if you aren't using them, you should be, give your audience a break from the squeak, squeak squeak, of your strings during your performances, it's very distracting from the songs and your playing ability!!! I tell everybody I know that plays or is starting to learn, just go ahead and buy yourself some GOOD strings, it's the foundation of your sound!!! NO MORE SQUEAKING AND THEY LAST A LONG LONG TIME!!! That's a winner to me!!!

  • Completely sold on these. Best Strings. Period.

I'm a fingerstyle player so why am I buying extra light gauge strings? I refuse to grow long nails or wear finger picks. This extra light gauge allows the fingertip player to get the same tone as a picked or "nailed" player on a heavier gauge. It's ideal. No squeaky finger slide sound and such a buttery silky feel make these hands down the most comfortable string.

  • Strings good for muting a trebly sounding guitar.

The polyweb strings are for guitars you want to slightly mute. I got them for this reason as well as their long lasting since I don't change my strings that often. I also like that my hands stay clean. So if you have a guitar with over bright or trebly sounds, this is a good choice. In my case, I have a pickup in my guitar that is too sensitive to high sounds and this puts my guitar is better balance when connected to the amp.

  • The best

These strings last a very long time. Be sure to make a note on the string box, because you'll forget the last time you changed them. I mean, how many years ago. I have several guitars and only use Polywebs on them.

  • Easy on the fingers

The coating on these strings makes them easier on th fingers than non coated strings. They sound very good, with a nice ringing sound. If they last as long as the other Elixir strings I have used (and I can't imagine why they won't) then they will be a great value as well.

  • Excellent acoustic guitar strings.

These are great sounding strings that last a long time compared to non-coated strings. Good full-body sound even on a concert size guitar. Highly recommended.

  • World's best string

I've been using these strings for years now I really like the tone but the life of these strings is what really keeps me coming back

  • Excellent Strings

They are the longest lasting strings I've ever used, and they help your guitar stay in tune, thank you.

  • Great for Small Bodies

I have an older small-body acoustic and got these extra-lights to see how they'd do. The literature said the Polyweb sounded a bit warmer and felt "slicker" to play than the Nanowebs so opted for that coating this time. They have accomplished exactly what I wanted. They have plenty of volume in a small-body, are a delight to play, and the guitar is more responsive than before. I have a similarly made deadnought that I put 11's in 80/20 Nanoweb on, and those are perfect for that guitar. They are a different sound. I also have a high-end dread that I put Nanoweb 11's on in Phosphor bronze and they're great for that one. So all three types for three different guitars and all worked perfectly.

  • Elixir 80/20 Bronze

Strings are a little dark. Still, I enjoy the sounds emitted! A different sound than the Phosphorous Bronze which are a brighter sounding string. Both are good!
