Ok so I wanted a sturdy secondary lock on my garage. This is sturdy alright. But, after reading the spec that the hasp had a 13.2mm hole for a padlock, I purchased a big jobbie padlock with a 13mm shackle. Wrong move.
It's all very well saying it has a 13.2mm hole, which it does, but in the real world you can't use a padlock with a shackle more than 9mm. I've tried a few...
2 problems. The hasp is bent and when the staple is positioned, you cannot physically fit anything more than a padlock with a 9mm shackle. Also the position of the hinges on the staple restrict the size of padlock you can use.
Other than that it's a very sturdy piece of kit.
