Beats the internet
With so much data available on the internet it is impossible to say that you cant find data you want freely available but this little book presents data very well indeed and collates it better than any internet engineering site I've seen. The collated data on indexable tools is especially good and is better presented than any of the manufacturer's online data. The tiniest criticism would be that the imperial thread data is a bit thin, with some of the values quoted in metric but this IS the metric edition and all the data was there. Extreamly Useful.
This handy pocket sized book, is the best engineering book that I, have ever seen, after having read the first 50 pages in less than 7 hours, this alone makes it a very useful book to anybody who is an engineer or want to be engineer. All in color and laminated pages mean its wipe clean oil free lay-flat pages, make this a great read and the drill sharpening gauge is also a big bonus. So for I have not found anything about this book, that had been a disappointment. If you are thinking of buying this book, and will use it regularly, you will enjoy reading it. Great reference book "the engineers bible"
This little black book is a must for any engineer, I have only had mine a few days & it has saved me a lot of time looking up formulas, ect. on the internet. This black book has clear & easy-to-use data on quality wipe clean pages, Any one wanting a wealth of engineers specifications then this is the book to go for, Im not sure how I managed for so long with out this book. Great Data Source - especially for more esoteric engineering standards
Produced by an Australian author, the book contains a wealth of information on imperial. metric and US engineering specs. Some unusual but extremely useful data eg a steel tempering chart actually displaying the tempering colours. Highly recommended, especially if you need access to data on a wide range of more unusual engineering standards including thread data for threads you probably never dreamed existed.
