Good solid upright chicken roster
I have tried various version of chicken roasters designed to hold the bird upright so the fat drains out. Many of them did the job for a while but most of them were too flimsy to last for long and the most robust one I got all the stainless coating came off after not too many washes in a sink. I always soak them whilst eating so it wasn't scrubbing too hard just with a sponge. This one the metal is robust and relatively thick so I am hoping the coating is also thick. One comment I need to make. I didn't notice before purchase that it is designed to have a cylindrical cup or can inserted in the centre to hold the chicken upright and this isn't part of the roaster. So far I haven't seen anything small enough to fit that would also be oven proof, it wouldn't fit a standard soup tin for instance. Nevertheless I have used it twice very successfully with the bird sat upright on top of it. All in all so far so goodVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Will try again with small bird
Great item, but, not really suitable for Weber Kettle with a BIG bird. Eventually had to take the chicken off this and stand it direct on grill plate. Will try again with a medium bird next time. Great piece of kit, just measure your birds and clearance firstVerified purchase: YesCondition: New
