Fast and positive
I have used these sort of gizmos before, but you had to know which leg was what in order for it to work. With this you can attach any leg to any connector and it sorts itself out. It identifies the device, and quotes the specifications and tells which leg is what. Obviously it will not work on all devices but I am certainly happy I bought it. Now I can sort out a lot of the parts I've gathered over the years and store them in the right containers. Magic. Lance G0CCU.

Great device and good value for money
This is vital if you still use through hole discrete semi-conductors. Identifies the leads to enable correct insertion and provide characteristics such as Hfe so that matching transistors are easily identified.

A must have tester
This is a great piece of test equipment. You can test a whole range of components including transistors, diodes, MOSFETs. Just connect up the leads and press Test. It gives you all kinds of information about the device. The only slight problem is that the test clips can get easily damaged. That said, you can just replace them. Well worth the money.

Don't be without one!
I really do not know how i have managed all these years without a device like this. Not having an Atlas is like not having a test meter! Really quick to acquire the validity of device connected and pin out as well as gain/voltage drop drop/leakage as applicable.
