  • Good, but not studio quality

I bought this mic mixer to make corporate interview videos. I would only recommend using this mixer for YouTube, amature videos (and corporate videos that will only get 1 or 2 views) and maybe some live DJ. But I would definitely not send any type of music through this mixer. This mixer did the job of boosting the signal from my microphone, but it does add a bit of distortion (no, I didn't turn it up high enough to clip!). There's no way I would use it for recording music or to submit a video to the BBC. I think microphone signals are so weak that only the best circuit designs will maintain an uncoloured signal. Look at it this way- my Quad Elite 2 channel pre-amp cost £800 and does a beautiful job with handling very low powered audio signals (and some would argue that it isn't even studio quality), so there's no way a £20 pre-amp can be studio quality. The good news is that this mixer is small and uses a 9 volt battery, which is great when there's no mains nearby.

  • Excellent value low budget mixer.

I wanted a battery powered mixer and this one does exactly what it says it will do. All metal construction makes it very strong and is well built. Comes complete with battery.
