  • This book is everything!

I don't even know where to begin with Boy's Life. It's one of the best three books I've ever read in my life! It's right up there with Stephen King's The Body/Stand By Me. It's a beautiful coming of age story. I think it should be required reading for everyone. I don't know how he did it, but Robert McCammon managed to write a book that reaches down and connects with the coming-of-age child within all of us. I'm an avid reader, and probably read an average of 100 books a year, rarely has a book made me laugh out loud or cry real sobbing tears, this book made me do both. It wrung so many different emotions out of me, and made me feel like I was part of the story. Boy's Life is a masterpiece, and will live on in my heart forever! It's definitely worth the read, and I highly recommend it!

  • Excellent book

Wonderful book, reminiscent of Stephen King's 'It' and Dann Simmons' 'Summer of Night', but with deeper and subtler emotional resonance. For my money, it's Robert McCammon's finest novel.
