So versatile and clean to use
Throw away the sikaex for sealant applications- this stuff is so versatile- roll it thin between fingers ( like plasticine) for smaller deck fittings, or around screw threads. gives a non drying/ cracking seal easy to break joint if required. Using Butyl Tape to bed Deck Fittings
I'd read reports that this material was a good alternative to silicon and other products for bedding down deck fittings on a boat. I've now used it (during cold weather, I might add) to assist the fitting of new clutches, jammers and other gear on an old Westerly I'm refurbishing, and it works a treat.
