This is not an academic course for personal trainers and coaches, this is the "need to know," get the job done course for people who want to do front and side splits easily or be able to kick high and effortlessly in the martial arts.
The book contains very little new or unique information. The little information that it does contain is lifted directly from better books on the subject noticeably from Stretching Scientifically by Tom Kurz. All the information is basic with few illustrations and tellingly no photographs of the author himself actually demonstrating any stretches or the splits.
On that note there is actually no direct stretches explained in any detail. The book is poorly presented from the cover, to the inside text and pictures.
It just comes across an attempt to make a fast buck on an increasingly popular subject using information either freely available on the internet or from authors who know what they are writing about and can actually perform the splits (and therefore pictured showing this and stretching exercises).
