Hot Wheels once produced this model 153/250 in 1/64 Scale. It represents a 2013 Aston Martin DBS in 'off' white or as my Eldest Daughter calls it as she knows her Roblox 'Quill Grey' like one she has recently recoloured and re-released on there. This is part of the Hot Wheels '2013 Showroom Range' of diecast models and for once [HURRAGH!] This is ideally recommended as a toy!!! Hot Wheels have been into their Toy Motors since well before I was born so no kidding you there - they know what they are doing encouraging young children to become interested in cars like the Aston Martin. As famously associated of course with role model James Bond or '007' from the film Thunderball onwards where the DB5 first appeared full of 'Q's gadgets! This is TRULY excellent: My Daughters purchased this for me as I own a real Aston Martin DB9 that I am no longer able to drive through disability. But it's confined to the garage but in a maintained state so my Eldest can have it when she passes her test which will be upon us soon enough. Back on subject I already cannot take my eyes off this DBS and neither can my Eldest! So goodness only knows how much one of these will be treasured by members of your family young and old / collector and child looking for inspirational and mindful play activities ... One of Hot Wheels's nicest cars EVER and I love it for sure: TEN though if they ever produce a DB9 like mine I'll return the favour by magicking them up an '11' somehow - should be something I can figure out being a freelance 'Vehicle Ergonomist' [Also known as 'Fitting Fat Persons In Fast Cars' or 'Filling Nice Cars With Boonab's Gadgets!'] :o)Read full review

Hot Wheels as part of their 2016 'Then and Now' Series of models released 101/250 which represents a 1963 Aston Martin DB5 in Red. Approximately 1/64 Scale in size this charming and characteristic car is really aimed at the Toys and Games market and is safe for a young child to play with. The red colour will really fire a child's imagination and makes this very attractive in it's appearance / inspirational in terms of play as does the Aston Martin brand's association with James Bond. But there's absolutely no harm if you are older in owning one of these as Hot Wheels has really made a very nice effort in making this quite a universal model for kids and adults alike: After all adults like myself enjoy collecting Hot Wheels models too with their origins stretching back decades. My example was bought for me as an adult Classic Car Enthusiast with a weakness for Aston Martin DB5s / red coloured cars and I really like this for what it is. It is therefore recommendable as a 'light-hearted' present for like minded adults too. Don't forget to add the five-digit code which this model comes with to your Hot Wheels website collection where with an account this earns you points towards games which are playable on there [10 Game Coins.] To create an account one needs to look at the Hot Wheels website where this can be done for free and a collection is able to be accumulated as you buy different Hot Wheels cars earning you online rewards and collector badges. Hot Wheels as part of their ten-strong 'HW Rescue' Range has released 206/250 GHB75 which represents the 2020 Alpha Pursuit Police on both Short and Long Cards. This is a Diecast Model or Toy Car suitable for ages 5 and up so a change for me not to be saying 'aimed at the Adult / Discerning Collector' market for once! If I was a five year old version of myself I would like the shape and colours of this car. There is of course no real life 'Alpha Police Interceptor' but I have come across this as a reviewer of Police and Emergency Services vehicles ... Which this is. I can imagine that a five year old Me would have the same fun with this car that I had with children's versions of Police and Emergency Services vehicles from when my generation was this age. I feel there is plenty of inspiration for this to generate when played with even though atypical of Hot Wheels 1/64 Scale cars there are no opening doors or bonnets making this ideal due to no choking hazards or the threat of detaching parts. The glazing mould includes the roof on which is mounted a blue lightbar and the 'Police' stencilling on the side looks rather American / US style for police titles in this era. I'm going to give this a fair 10 / 10 FULL MARKS as I have enjoyed writing this review which as mentioned is very different from what I would normally be covering as a subject. Hot Wheels even make provision for Collectors of all appropriate ages with the issuing of this car on a Short or Long Card on which the vehicle is contained in easy to access plastic bubble packaging :o)Read full review
