  • Small scale with great detail

Nicely detailed little model of the Gyrocopter made famous in the James Bond film "You only Live Twice" from 1967. It has bright colours as per the gyrocopter used in the film including the 'red rockets' on the front of the aircraft. It is made of durable plastic and the tail assembly is not rigid which allows the frame to take a bit of firm handling. Gyrocopters are real flying machines and innovations like little Nellie paved the way for some of the amazing gyrocopters that fly today. I purchased this model for display use on a 007 pinball machine.

  • A suitable title

A fine model, but a pity that Wing Commander Ken Wallis is not mentioned anywhere on the box, as he built the machine and flew it in place of Sean Connery in the film. Sadly, and amazingly, he also wasn't mentioned among the film credits.
