  • Not bad for entry into Custom Watercooling!

Let's start off by saying for the price under £100, it's a good beginner's setup to get you going and understanding the basics of custom watercooling loops. You get everything you need to make a complete open loop with the benefits of swapping and changing parts in the future. Now down to overall performance. The waterblock is really inadequate for the job of cooling. I found that with my setup, no matter how clear the coolant was from bubbles and the pressure the pump was providing, thermal paste application applied to the cpu; the waterblock was not capable of dispating the heat away from my ryzen 5 processer. I've tried various brand thermal paste in hopes to get better temp at idle and under load figures and nothing could be done because the waterblock was poor at cooling performance. After changing out my waterblock to a Alphacool OCCool Light xp3 block this is where I started to see lowered idle temps and lowered load temps. So as soon as you get going and understand how everything works, change out the waterblock for something better. The pump/Reservoir combo, impressive bit of kit. I had no problems whatsoever and it worked perfectly well and looked and felt premium. The only down side is the pump is 2 pin molex powered and not pwm controlled. Also the pump housing is made of all plastic but feels very high quality plastic. the reservoir also felt like really high quality acrylic and the o-rings seals were are good quality. Here's a tip: inside the Reservoir where the inlet port is, add a short piece of tubing under the cap where the inlet port let's water fill up the Reservoir, adding this tube will help when bleeding out the air bubbles as the tube will be submerged and any air will have to rise to the top to be bled out. This will help get all the air out faster and in less time. Going with just how the reservoir is setup and bleeding the air will take ages. At one point without adding that inner short tubing in the Reservoir, I had to wait almost 2 hours to get all the air out. With the tubed added, it bled out in under 30mins max and the water was almost clear from bubbles. See; having bubbles in the loop will cause inadequate cooling and noise and by removing as much bubbles as possible will make a silent running loop, plus it would look nice and clear and provide better idle temps. The Radiator: it's copper but painted black, because I saw some of the painted fin got chipped off and it was revealed that to be pure copper. Overall it's performance is good enough for beginners but I would recommend changing it out in the near future. As it is 14 tube style and it's capable of getting heated water cooled enough to a point of cooled water return. To verify this I did a test with everything outside my case and with my fans disabled and having the radiator heat up from the cpu, checking all corners to see when the fluid goes in and see where it starts getting hot and what the output is. Turning on the fans during this test gave cooler water output on the end of the radiator output port is located. If you do upgrade later on, buy a 18tube fin radiator and upgrade the fans to high static pressure fans. Trust me you will repeap the benefits of a cooler loop. The tubing: First of all it took me a while to figure out what size tubing was provided and after countless hours of measuring and Googling, turns out the size provided is 3/8" 10mm Inner diameter - 13mm outer diameter. You'll thank me when you discover that the tubing provided is not so great and would tend to leak it's plastic chemicals into your loop and this will cause the tube to become cloudy and the water to become cloudy as well. Mines started to turn slightly green colour even though I never used any of the green dye. Change the tubing for better quality ones when you go to change out your waterblock. The flow meter: it just works and haven't had an issue, good indication of the flow rate the pump is providing. Haven't had any leaks or problems with it, it just did it's job. The G1/4 fittings: Impressive quality and made of brass but painted black to match the aesthetics. The fittings kept the tubing nice and tight and sealed in place without any leaks whatsoever, looks really decent and did the job well. Wish there was more than 8 provided. The Pure Liquid Water provided: It worked for my initial run of two months but started to develop alge very faintly and also started to become cloudy and I don't know if it was because of the poor tubing or what but I decided to change it out for something more better and capable. Overall a good kit to get you up and going but be sure to change the waterblock to something better and change out the tubing for decent quality ones and also change the pure water liquid provided for something better. And will be good as gold. Worth every penny! 10/10

  • For the price its perfect for somebody who is afraid that buys something wrong, but requires later maintenance.

+ price + you dont need to buy anything else + holds (no leaks so far - luckily) + quiet (if you manage to fill it completely full) + looks really good for soft tubing - reservoir is filled from top and doesn't have tube to lead the water deeper, so if its not completely full it makes bubbles and sounds like aquarium (bubbles may also damage pump in some time) - the spiny thing works only under exact angle, after some time i gave up and its not spinning for me - the tubes went brown after some time - had to refill the reservoir after few months, because even slightly decrease of water means bubbles - could use one more fitting in set for filling I didn't use dyes and LEDs meant for pump and CPU block.

  • Bad quality pump

Pump makes a grinding noise after the first week of use. I will have to replace it. Really bad performance for such a high value
