I stopped taking these for two weeks, not deliberately, just kept forgetting to take them daily, even though I packed them in bag to take. My stomach was in a world of problems due to my own health issues, as soon as I began retaking these properly, my gut settled back down and my digestive system became once again more regulated. I have tried lot's of probiotics over last few years and this is the best so far. I believe I suffer from mild IBS, although this has not been diagnosed by a doctor. Probiotics definitely help and I used the Optibac everyday capsules {5 billion} for a few months which were quite good.
