  • Great fan

I'm only half way through but I really like the way he writes. I'm a great DP fan and always eager to know more about the band and, as Roger Glover puts it, the chemistry. I've seen the Ian DVD "Highway Star. A Journey in Rock" but this takes you even further into the band's highs and lows. Great.

  • Good book

Interesting and informative record of Ian’s life up to 1998. I’m amazed he is still going after the excesses of his life until then. The demon drink is not to be recommended in vast quantities and he must have an iron constitution. Can’t believe he is still performing at 77!

  • A good read

An interesting read concerning the life and career of Mr Gillan without being too "heavy" ( man ) .
