Not politically correct, but.....
My 79 year old dad has cancer. He grew up with these cartoons and treasures the memories and nostalgia they evoke. The reason I bought this set for him is that I wanted to be able to give him the gift of laughter and to make him forget his sickness for a little while. He laughs like a little kid when he watches these. This is everything to me and is the real reason why they earn 5 stars in my opinion- and "political correctness" be damned.

Looney tunes were great , bugs bunny was a goldmine , there are so many laughs to be had in this set of cartoons , and the ones included in this set are great , but you have to remember , they made over 170 bugs bunny cartoons alone , and I think there are about 70 in this set , so there are many cartoons that not available and will not be found here , however , still there are plenty to enjoy here , also , the company does a lot of double dipping so to speak , as example , on bugs bunny golden carrot 74 cartoon collection dvd , all 74 can be found on the golden collection , also check platinum releases as you will find many duplications , if you already have the bb gold carrot 74 dvd and bb is all your interested in , there is no need to buy this set !

A fantastic selection of the greatest cartoons
Not all of the over 1000 Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies cartoons are included over these 6 volumes but what is included are the best of the best. A fantastic collection of cartoons from the Golden age of animation, each disc has a certain theme so one disc is composed of all Roadrunner cartoons and another disc is all Bugs Bunny. A must-have for any fans of these great shorts

Best cartoon in history
No cartoon today can compare to just cartoons from up to the 90s especially compared to looney tunes. Hand the greatest. I bought this set because my mom died and watching these cartoons can take me back to specific dates that I saw each episode and which apartment or house we lived in. The nostalgia I get from these cartoons is worth more then all the gold in the world.

Now THESE ARE CARTOONS!!! Not the stuff on tv today. They are as funny as the day they came out. Used to watch them as a kid, brings back fond memories of Sat. mornings. Excellent! Loved Looney Tunes since I was a child over 65 years ago ! Funny, hillarious. Not promoting violence as they claim today. The adults laughted as much as we did. We all knew the difference between violence and funny. It did not make anyone violent that I knew. Now the cartoons are all educational and bore you to death.

Memories
I watched these as a kid and then as a young dad with my kids along with my dad. We would all giggle or laugh like the kids we are, openly. Now I am watching these classics with my kids again along with my grandkids. They are timeless. I recorded them on a VCR years ago (long gone) but now I have them unedited like they were meant to be. I believe all of them are in this collection. Thanks for these treasures!
