Great plane
I am a serious diyer and can't fault this plane, it was great value for money £17.99 Inc postage. I know there is a lot of criticism of cheaper planes but I do wonder why having brought this one. You might get a dodgy one but that can happen with any product. As good as any great value

High quality very cheap No 5 plane.
First off, i'm not a carpenter, i'm a retired man who likes woodwork and metalwork, an enthusiast maybe, i already have a few planes but not a No 5, so i searched Ebay and found this one, it was the cheapest i could find, whether new or not. When it arrived i took it out of box and i could not believe how well made it was for what i paid, i felt a bit guilty really, as if I'd just robbed someone. I tried it strait from the box, just adjusting the depth and i got a fairly decent shaving but not great, so i spent half hour flatting and sharpening the blade and now it is very good indeed. I still can't believe it, i would recommend this plane to anyone, i think even a tradesman would be very pleased with it. thumbs up.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
