I found the product easy to handle, very light and easily trimmed with a sharp knife. Although it could be described as fragile it is not a delicate product and does not fall apart when handling. Once laid, assuming the floor is level and you are not trying to even out bumps with it of course, it can be walked on with no trouble for fixing down. Washers are essential for the screws.
