Nice idea but...
While the Idea is nice and I did not think there was a snowballs chance in hell, I was going to get my 16 year old cat to use it. She did get the idea of having to jump up into this big plastic, enclosed, tub, after I followed the directions to acclimate cats to it. The issues I have with it are... you need 2 different sized plastic bags for in the box and in the drawer below, the grate that sifts the litter to separate the waste from the litter will get clogged with clumped litter, if your cat decides he/she wants to pee on that side of the box (and mine does), you still have to use a scoop to brake off the clumps of litter from the bag because the sometimes, if not always get stuck and even after pulling the handle they stay in the top area and will not fall into the drawer, So the video they show you on how perfect the box separates the litter from the waste, is not exactly true. There is more work involved. After using Pet Safe for several years until my cat kept peeing over the side and braking the automatic box, I think this will work but the area does not smell as clean as it did, when I used Pet Safe. Seems if your cat pees near the side of the box it flows down into the drawer and collects there and does start to smell. To remedy this I put some extra litter in the drawer to soak up the extra urine. I have also thought about trying the box without the bag in the upper part to see if it urine would not stick to the bottom and save on buying MORE bags. Have not tried it yet though. I have really found that no automatic litter box, is perfect and most will brake because of poor design or cheap manufacturing. This box I really believe will not break but it is not perfect ether and is more work than a electric powered litter box.
