Exceptional value!
I wanted a stock for my old Remington 700 .243. It was a gift from my grandad when I was 12 and I used it for MANY years for hunting. Now that my kids are starting to get to the age that they are interested, I wanted this rifle to be able to be used as my son's first hunting rifle. My old stock was a full-size and too long for him. Not wanting to cut the wooden stock down, the Magpul stock gave me adjustability that I needed on the rifle. It is a very comfortable and solid stock as well. Now my son AND wife AND I can all still stoot this gun as it is very easy to adjust the length of pull with the spacers provided. Good and Bad but mostly Good
I realize this stock is designed to fit standard and target size barrels. Being that mine is a standard barrel, I have a lot of space between the stock and barrel and I'm OK with that. Actually it looks pretty cool. What I was not happy about is that my 700 is an ADL and you need the longer BDL trigger guard screws which I had to order separately. Also, my scope is a low mount and the cheek piece was too high and I had to order the "no rise" comb. The extra cost didn't bother me as much as the waiting for parts.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Better than original stock
This is the third Magpul stock I have purchased. It is very easy to drop the Remington 700 into it. The external magazine functions excellently and is much more affordable than any other magazine conversion kits. This stock is solid, easily adjustable, and a great value. Excellent stock great feel fit and finish only one minor problem is the cheek riser is in the way of your cleaning rod when cleaning the barrel but you just have to remove two screws to remove it I guess that other stocks with a medium to high cheek riser would have to remove the action from the stock to clean it so magpul wins my vote againVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Best stock
Just wanna say very simple to install watch the youtube video that's it. I did also order the magazine kit from magpul. Stock comes with lop spacers for added length if needed. Has a moderate cheekrise already installed, personally I may add some height (cheekrisers are ordered separately) I was interested in the magpul pro stock, but thought this hunter stock would be a good compromise between hunting and range shooting. I am using this stock on a .308 Shipping was very quick and packaged well.

Great value for the price.
Love these stocks, only problem I have is they should have had a lower sling swivel hole already drilled and ready for a swivel. They could have put a plug in it so those that don't want to use it don't have to and those that do can. Other than that these stocks are great. Great addition to my Remington 700 SA .243 ADL. Now I have a five round removable magazine instead of a four round blind magazine that you have to cycle the bolt to remove every round.
