  • Good value affordable workhorse but needs constant servicing

I have had one with regular use for 4 years now. I find it rather heavy to be portable though I have transported it a lot. You do have regularly to check bolts all round as they have a tendancy to shake themselves loose causing rattles and oil or petrol leaks. My generator would start first pull and had enough power to run two hedgetrimmers at the same time or my 2000w angle grinder though it would trip with that occasionally, so I would say that such a machine is on the limits of this generator, bearing in mind that start up on rotary devices requires an extra surge. The on-off switch just fell apart, but easily replced.

  • Well built and functional unit

Not had a chance to use the unit for an extended period yet. However, the generator started on the first pull (after adding oil and fuel). The sockets are two pin European type but it was a simple task to set up some extension leads with the correct plugs. Runs quite for such a powerful unit and generally the unit appears to be very solid and well made. I looked at a lot of units before buying this one and I am very pleased with my purchase, great value for the money.

  • Great Engineering, from China?

Apart from a poor user manual in German, this is a great product. The translated manual arrived when requested and helped the preparation for use, which was simple and straight forward. The engine started first pull. I started to test the electrics with a single 60W bulb. It worked fine. I then progressed to a kettle. It boiled in a few minutes. It will give us an adequate electrical supply when we get our next power failure (which we get far too regularly) in the Hampshire countryside. The engine is governed automatically to respond to the electrical load. The engine noise is a bit loud which is to be expected. Overall, this is excellent value for money

  • It did the job... for a while

Updated once the unit was used more: We live off grid and I bought this as either a replacement or backup for our Honda Pramac (depending on what was wrong with it!). I was swayed by the price, customer reviews and the German connection: so far, so good. It is lightweight yet suggests strength. I had to adapt a British extension lead so it could run off the connector that comes with the set, and wondered about a starter handle that pulls up towards the control board. The starter pulls to the side and still works: it's too soon yet to know if this drastically shortens the life of the pull chord. Later: well now I know that it does shorten it, so I drilled a hole in the metal so that the chord could pull parallel to the crankcase. Despite plastic inserts to protect the chord from the edge of the hole, there have been occasional problems with breakage. Our most important need is the submersible water pump - no electric will soon mean no water. The circuit breaker on the Honda often trips when we have the pump on but the Eberth (same KVA) ran the pump without bother. I have decided to use the petrol Eberth for pumping and our gas-converted Honda for everything else. Later: The worst thing is that, after not THAT many hours of use, the set does not produce electricity! Having checked fuses and looked for burnt out wiring, I gave up.

  • Good product.

I've only used this a couple of times, but it seems pretty good! The only downsides are that it is pretty heavy, you need a two pin fly lead converter to use it and the instruction manual is entirely in German.

  • Inexpensive beast.

Cheap option but better than paying 5 times the price. Pull starter is same as Honda which is handy when looking for spares. Good motor but some plastic 'bits' are a bit flimsy though.

  • my new generator

When i saw the price i thought it was a cheap model but when i had it delivered i was shocked to see a well made and strong generator that works my disc cutter and drills the same time also you get the two 240 volt sockets not one from other models, i'm happy customer.

  • too noisey

it works ok but will trip out if you even get near to full load, It is not rated properly to its full capacity it will never get near to 4,9 KW BEFORE it trips out and it is noisey as well.

  • PORTABLE GENERATOR

I use this on my allotment for my power tools. It runs quietly and works a treat. It starts very easily
