I didn't think any loft ladder would fit into the small ceiling hatch, and avoid clashing with the wooden roof truss above. However, this ladder does so with ease, especially as the hatch opening width is just 510mm, and length of 700mm is partially blocked when the 100mm thick loft hatch cover is hanging down. I did have to reverse the loft hatch, as the ladder does extend past the hatch when stored by 250mm approx, which would have clashed with a truss post, but that was easily done. One tip is to ensure the sprung ladder carriage assembly can hang vertically when deployed, my first attempt didn't quite achieve this as the loft hatch cover was in the way, which made deployment difficult. Installation instructions supplied could be a little clearer, but after some deliberation all became clear and I am now extremely pleased with the ladder.Read full review
