  • Working Signals....not for the inexperienced modeller.

These kits are well produced and extremely accurate, however they are plastic and are therefore not very strong, and can be easily broken at any stage in their assembly. These kits are not easy to put together and are not for the faint hearted. Experienced modellers using the correct and appropriate tools will achieve a good standard of model using these kits. If you want a fully operational signal, then I don't feel these will fit the bill. There are of course those who can achieve that aim, but they are the best modellers around and have lots of experience. If you want signals that will stand the rigours of operational use, then I recommend metal signals made from brass and nickle silver and metal castings etc. These are available, but at a much greater cost than these ratio signals.

the kit was fragile and suffering from plastic fatigue. it was a very poor kit anyway with swarf that was impossible to remove without the plastic failing - which it did. I have had to put it down to experience and thrown it away!
