It did its job. I used the -30db for its first use. Signal sounded fine. It does wiggle a bit when connected. But I heard no drop outs or intermittency. The label wasn't put on very cleanly so there's a bump but maybe that's just my unit. Still works well and was the best priced unit of this type I could find.

If your mixer or amp does not have input gain control, you may experience that some mice are too hot, causing distortion. This attenuator bring the levels down. On the positive side, you have three levels to choose from, although the settings are quite coarse. The lowest level attenuates quite much, the next even more and the third very much attenuation. The attenuator even works with line signals and my Røde phantom powered condenser mic.

At this price it's good.. But, it's cheapish in build quality. Not solidly built like the Audio Technica one (which went way up in price recently..). So this one carries value, because it works as intended. Not sure why they went-20 -30 -40 instead of -10 -20 -30, but not a major problem. It's good.
