    Incredible - Kroil Penetrating Oil

Over 35 years garage and restoration experience I have tried all the 'miracle' penetrating oils. I've seen this stuff advertised and thought how expensive it was, especially when it comes in such a small tin. I eventually bit the bullet to see what it's like and well, I don't think I will ever use another product. It is genuinely incredible. A tiny amount is all you need, leave it a couple of minutes and it gets right to the end of seized threads, not only unsticking them, but actually making them really easy to unscrew. Perhaps I've become a little more realistic about what penetrating oils can actually do, but I am honestly surprised at how good this is.

Sadly did not work for me

Bought this after receiving a number of recommendations and seeing many positive reviews. My requirement was to release a rusted 3/4" BSP iron plug in a steel boiler. Previously had tried a British equivalent as used by the RNLI. Like that product Kroil seems very thin and runs well. It really looks as if it should penetrate the tiniest gap. Sadly Kroil made zero difference for this job. When drilled out there was no evidence of any oily residue. Perhaps a rusted steel on steel taper plug is not an ideal application.

  • Easily the best

My first tin lasted me over 3 years, I apply with a syringe & blunt needle or small oil dropper bottle. I’m restoring stuff that’s been together for anything from 40-100yrs & this stuff hasn’t failed me yet. Use sparingly & it’s not so expensive. I’m trying the aerosol one next.

  • Quality Penetrating Fluid

What can I say, tried everything else to release a pair of pistons stuck in their bores on a very old BMW engine that had been sitting around for years. Nothing would shift them. 24 hour soak with Kano Kroil in the bore, turned the engine over on the engine stand and applied around the piston skirt from below. Left for three hours and both pistons came out with firm taps. Does what it says on the tin.

  • Kroil

Very good penetrating oil it seems, makes wd40 look like golden syrup. I've used this on my rifle bores and it cleans very well indeed. A little goes a long way which is good as its a bit pricey but worth the cost.

  • Amazing penetrating oil

Had some bolts and nuts I couldn’t undo on an old car. Tried other products, then read about Kano Kroil. Bit pricey but tried it and it did work. Had to use it a few times, but eventually success.

  • Easy to use but expensive compares with other release products.

After trying every possible method to free the lower bolts stuck in a TVR upright, I tried Kano. Sorry to say that didn't work either but it worked on the engine cylinders and helped with the carburetor strip. The bolts had to be cut off in the end and the uprights sent for machining out

  • Rust penetrant top class

To be exact I’ve only used it on smaller items to good effect but I’ve no doubt it will be great on the big items

  • Kronos oil

Appears to do what it says on the tin.only used it once.best decanted to a smaller dispenser and used very sparingly. If this is is the case it appears it will last a long time and be good value for money.

  • Brilliant product that works

Had to change the original coolant temperature sensor on a 1980 MGB. I applied 4 to 5 times over a week and left it and then it came undone without excess force so I was very happy and relieved.
