different to the last one
my last george, which I still have, had fixed hot plates and was very difficult to clean and was very time consuming, this one however, you just pop the plates in to the dishwasher and you are done. the down side is that it is a lot smaller than the previous one and it takes a lot longer to heat up, therefore you have a much longer cooking time. summary, wish I could have the best of both but this is a good compromiseVerified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Disappointing
Love the look of it. Had one before which was awesome however this one takes over 20 minutes to cook bacon and doesn't turn the meat product brown so it always looks raw or naked! Brilliant piece of kit

Good, but not as good as it's predecessor!
We bought this to replace a previous George Foreman grill with removable plates. On first impressions this one seems less robust. It's certainly lighter, but the plastic legs seem a bit thin and not so sturdy. However, time will tell! This one does not heat up as quickly as our previous model and because the heating elements are smaller the plates don't heat up anywhere near as evenly. However, after a few goes of trial and error and this one is working satisfactorily; grilling meat thoroughly and making half decent toasted sandwiches. We had our previous one for 7 years before it packed up. I have my doubts whether this one will last so long!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Top Grill

Upgraded from old George Foreman
Prior to ordering this one we had a regular 3 Portion George Foreman but the Mrs never cleaned it so I bought this specifically for the removable plates & the extra 5 portion size. The plates are a dream, sometimes with the old one it would get left for a day to be cleaned as I tried to stand my ground but it never worked!
