Does exactly what it says on the bottle!
What a great product! The black carpets in my Defender were looking a bit tired, new carpets were very expensive, so I thought about dying them? I found this product while looking for fabric dye. The results are amazing just simply spray it on, I gave it a rub over while wearing rubber gloves, leave it to dry, and that’s it! Carpets look brand new, nice and black with no sticky residue, it does stiffen up the pile but this can be brushed out easily. Ok to Redye Blacks
I tried this product on two used rear footwell grey car mats as the black ones are an extortionate price to buy new or used. The dye did work mainly but still left a slight greyness to the finished pile. It was good enough for me but not perfect. Gives car mats a like new appearance.
This carpet dye is very convenient for spraying car mats or the interior carpet in a car. It sprays evenly and has enough for 2 coats on a set of mats or 1 coat inside the car. I usually treat the claims about car finishing products with well-earned scepticism then along comes Autobrite Black Dye to cheer me up. I had to do something about weary carpets and ABD seemed well thought of by car nuts on t'interweb. One coat brushed in well with a redundant paintbrush has made my 13 year old carpets look as good as new: they even feel and smell new. Excellent product with great coverage!
This is one heck of a product, I didnt expect it to be to be as good as it turned out to be but I thought I would give it a try before buying a new carpet in my car. So I bought a classic car and once I took the seats out I knew I had to do something about the carpet.... I thought I would give this bottle a try to see how it turned out and to my surprise with just one coat it transformed it! Now if I had bought a bigger bottle I would have done some more coats but in person its way better than the photo I attached and the dfference is outstanding. Make sure to wear gloves and a face mask as per the instructions and you are good to go! If I get around to it I will buy another bottle to go over it again but its already good enough for me to be happy with.
