Broke too easily
The first time I forgot to put the presser foot down, the needles bent the stitch finger on the faceplate. I was able to find a new one but I might want to keep a spare around. Juki serger
This is absolutely the best serger I have ever owned. It makes a great stitch with no adjustment. It was hard at first to learn to thread but stuck with it and it continues to work beautifully. Awesome Self-threading
After researching home sergers for a month online, I chose this Juko. I almost purchased the Brother 1043D, but I saw one woman's review about the similarities with this machine. In addition to that, this machine had the feature of the self-threader. This sold me and I haven't regretted it yet. Yes, my eyesight isn't what it used to be and I struggle to get the machine threaded, but one can always add light and I use a magnifying glass. Thrilled with this machine!
After my repair center tried to bait-and-switch me on repairs for my 20-year old Pfaff, I decided to check out the market for a new serger. I could not be happier. This machine is easy to use, solidly built, and does not budge when I use it. The threading is a little tricky, but I find that to be the case with all sergers. I love the compact size. It fits nicely on my work table next to my sewing machine so I can easily go from one to the other.
