I use my printer every day at work and a set of these inks will still last me for about a year and a half. As it's Epson ink, the colour and print longevity is good. The alternative is to buy cheaper unbranded ink that will give less colour accuracy and require more head cleaning (I only have to run the head cleaning process around once every six months and it clears-up strait away).

The quality of bottled ink isn't as good as cartridge ink but bottled ink lasts a lot lot longer ! I use it for making posters and the quality is perfectly acceptable. Sometimes if I want to give a glossy appearance then I will laminate the poster using cheap laminating paper with my laminating machine which are both very economical to use.

Printers are cheap because ink cartridges are painfully expensive. Inktank printers are expensive, this ink is cheap. This costs less than one set of cartridges and lasts about 18 months, in that time we would have spent about £800 on cartridges. No brainer, spent the money on the printer and save it on the ink, out printer is three years old so we are nearly £1400 better off.
