I've been a fan of both John Cooper Clarke, and Hugh Cornwell for many years. This record is a great set of covers that show, for the first time, what a great singing voice JCC has. He normally recites his great poems at breakneck speed in his winderful Salford accent, and to hear him sing - it's a revelation. Hugh Cornwell's arrangements are superb. A lovely album, that I cannot recommend highly enough. And signed, too. Nice one.
