New ring makes closing the pressure cooker lid a little difficult. My experience has been that as the ring ages it will shrink and closing the pressure cooker lid will become easier to the point where the cooker is no longer steam tight when in use, at which point I will need to buy another new ring.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

problem with gasket supplied
The gasket is very tough, and once connected to the lid, it is very hard to get the lid settle on properly. or to get it off, A lot of strengh was needed. Previous ones I bough were more pliablel and lasted 12 years. I had to ssok the gasket in a basin of boiling water to soften it up, but you can't do that to get it off.
