Opens the smallest split rings!
These pliers are great for opening small split rings. Much better than the Daiwa split ring pliers I had before, even though they were smaller, the tip was too broad. I wouldn't buy these unless I needed this feature though. The steel is about 3mm thick throughout. Its obviously cut from flat sheets. While this is good for small split rings because the tip lacks the broadness found in other small pliers, it makes for quite a narrow gripping area compared to other pliers. These are the best pliers for micro lure fishing I've had.

Excellent bit of kit
This is a seriously good bit of kit. Well made does what it’s designed for, and more, very well. Having used many splitring pliers over the years this i found the best. This is my second pair as I unfortunately dropped my first when chest deep in a tidal run. A lesson learned as these have several attachment points. An excellent accessory👌👍🎣
