not for heavy phones
I use a Zero Lemon phone case which houses a power bank so that my phone stays full of power all day long. Unfortunately this makes my phone a brick, quite literally its a huge block about 1 and 2/3 an inch thick. This means my phone weighs 5X the normal smartphone and with normal phone mounts in the car it would just pull the arms down or point the phone at the floor like it had nothing holding it in place. This phone holder since its a rigid arm that can tighten and the head on it has a nice tightening joint around the swivel ball doesn't allow the phone to point downward, however... since my phone is so heavy the magnet on it isn't strong enough to hold the phone and it just slides off the plate. To fix this I had to cut the lower part of one of the non magnet holders off and JB Weld the piece to the bottom of the magnet so it acts as an anti sliding device forcing the magnet to pull directly against the plate instead of sideways where it can slide off. it's an eyesore that I made work but I do warn anyone else that plans to use this that it won't hold phones with a heavy case or a large tablet. the magnet is just not strong enough for vertical hold. it could be better designed if they incorporated my idea of putting a small plate with legs that stick out to keep anything from sliding.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

No MYBAT brand on the box or holder, works, probably worth 7 bucks.
You get what you pay for, it was difficult to put together correctly, wouldn't thread correctly. I finally got it good enough to work. I sent a message to business with no reply, at the time it was described as a MyBat brand, that was the reason I decided on this one. it came in a plain box with no name or brand on it. it works, does the job but only has 4 magnets, It stayed attached to the windshield, probably not good for a heavy phone. bounces to much, not sure if it will work mounted high on windshield. it held up on my trip, had to re-position a couple times, I am not a every day user.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Sticky Base
Works real well, it is sturdy and holds my phone in a good accessible position. The only problem I have with it is when it has been in the sun for a while on the dashboard it looses it contact with the suction cup, it doesn't fall because of the sticky stuff on the base.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Bad for extended hot weather
After a summer in New Mexico heat this thing was totally broken. The adhesive on the suction cup (which works great in normal temperatures) melted and made a mess on my dashboard that I had to scrub off with rubbing alcohol. The excessive heat also somehow degraded the mechanical parts and it wouldn't stay in place anymore. It seemed to work great prior to the summer heat, so if you don't expect to expose it to 100+ degree F weather for 4 months out of the year it'll probably be fine.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Just a okay product
The magnet is not strong enough. I don't really want to use the tape on the magnet piece as it will make my phone look weird so I put it inside my phone case. Even though it is a super thin phone case, the magnet isn't work too great this way.

Cannot take the heat, broke down in few days
The mount broke down after few days of installing. I had it mounted on the dash, and it did not take the heat, it melted and deformed and the suction mechanism broke down. Good mechanism and hold on tight to the phone, but it did not last a week so what's the point.
